Since 2007, Taiwan birding trip number... eh I lost count, and what a success again with all the usual ingredients; Relaxed birding in a nice small group, easy walks, well protected nature reserves, impressive scenery, beautiful forests, mostly good weather, friendly locals, good hotels and infrastructure, comfortable transport, plenty birds with lots of endemics and specials, lots of delightful bird song (spring time!), good photo opportunities, a few mammals, interesting butterflies etc. oh even fresh salads and fresh coffee from 7/11 ;-) I think people may get the message; must visit Taiwan! It’s increasingly popular and super rewarding indeed.
